Think Pink

"Sugar and spice and everything nice, ribbons and curls because she's a girl"

It's a little girl!!

We couldn't be more excited!

Over Valentine's weekend Scott and I drove down to UT to do an ultrasound at a place called the Fetal Studio in the Southtown mall. We couldn't wait to find out the sex of the baby, and just like I always peek at my presents if I can find them, I had to have a sneak peak of the baby. I thought for sure it was going to be a boy. I convinced myself it was a boy so when I found out I would be super excited. But secretly I painted my toenails sparkly pink in hopes that it was a girl. Not that painting your toenails has anything to do with the gender of your baby...Anyway, everyone was predicting boy. Everyone but my sis. and niece Kyla (who thinks my baby's name is grumpy after the seven dwarfs, hopefully it is not a sign). Scott, my mom, and Kiera and kids all came with. They bring you into a room with a big screen and it was so quick. I couldn't believe how fast the picture came on the screen. Right away you could tell it was a girl. I was in shock. Scott cried a little (he wants a little girl) and we couldn't be happier!

No, we do not have a name. Not even close. Sorry. Luckily the Fetal Studio is in the mall. Scott left to go do manlier things, and us girls went shopping!! Thanks to Kiera and my mom I have some darling outfits! Of course I already know I'm going to do her room (or half a room) in pink and green, my favorite color combo. since forever. My old room was pink and green and I have all my stuff saved, my wedding colors were pink and green, and my house would be pink and green if I wasn't married to a man. It's such a weird thing knowing I will have a daughter. But here she comes, I hope we will be ready.

I haven't posted much because I have been sick. I decided if blogging sounded more like a chore I wasn't going to do it. But now that I'm 18 weeks I'm starting to have some good days mixed in with the yucky days, and life is getting back to normal. Maybe someday I will enjoy pregnancy. Scott treats me like a queen and takes care of me as well as his work and school. I am surrounded by kids all day. Today we had a conversation about whether or not Jesus has a bellybutton. These are the things I deal with.
