Flight TWA 800

We decided to take a little trip to Smith Beach and check out the memorial that was built for those lost in flight TWA 800 right off the beach where we were standing. To the right are the flags of all the nationalities that were on the flight.

It was really random but very cool. The memorial talks about the flight just taking off and heading for its course over the ocean to France when it exploded and fell to the water. It was the first plane accident where every single person on board was recovered from the wreckage. There were no survivors.

Any good books?

I was just wondering if anyone knows any good non-LDS (you can't find those out here) books. My job doesn't start for a while and I finally have time to read something besides boring text books. Since I'm an eled major I only know the latest kids books. And yes I have read the Twilight series :)

The Backyard... (not the restaurant)

This is us meeting our new neighbors! These New York geese are a little too friendly for Kaylee's taste. The bigger picture was taken from our back door step. They are the only friends we have now; sniffle.

Our Little Salesman

Isn't he cute? Scott works long days and already has a sweet New York accent to show for it. He likes the job...it's just a little draining. He has gotten right out and put in numbers right along with the experienced reps. So if any of you are feeling a little scared, call Scott and he'll help you out with a brand new security system;) !

We love NY!

So here are a few more pics. from the beach. It is warming up and about 70 degrees today...so nice. So far NY is great although we have yet to visit the main city. Scott is working hard and doing amazing so far. Kaylee is just...hanging out... until her nanny job starts next week . Bellport is beautiful, our apartment complex is surrounded by the woods. We're having a blast and want everyone to come visit us!

Here is a video of the waves to make my dad jelous, he thought there was no surfing in New York. I think we're going to have to go to Costco to get us some body boards.

Day at the Beach!

For those of you who did not know, we are official New Yorkers! We are about an hour by train away from Manhattan.  We moved to Bellport Long Island last Friday for summer work. So far it has been paradise. This is for all of you out there who don't think that there are beautiful beaches on the Atlantic!
