Gardner Village

This is the first fall I have not gone back to school since I started kindergarten. I went to school growing up every year as a kid, went to four years of college, then taught school a year. It's been kind of weird, all though I wouldn't trade staying home with Annie for anything. Staying home does have its perks. I was talking to my sister and she was telling me how her, my mom, and grandma were all going to Gardner Village. I decided I wanted to go and that was that. Scott was super busy so I left him behind and went to Utah for a couple days. Annie was a great little traveler and it was fun to just leave on a whim.

Gardner Village is the best to go to in the fall. Everything is done up cute and is witch themed. Unfortunately This is the only witch picture we got. Shopping is a whole new world taking aorund 3 kids (Annie, Bryce, and Kyla). Kyla was a little scared to stand so close to the witch and took some convincing.

Bryce eventually got the duck. Good thing it didnt' bite.

Annie and Grandpa McRae. So sweet.

My lucky parents spent 2 weeks in Hawaii. Kyla trying on her Hawaiian outfit. Isn't she cute?

The Nursery

I've been meaning to post these pics. forever. When we first moved into our house the thing I was excited for most was to finish her nursery. I told Scott what I wanted and he finished it. He spent lots of hours figuring out how to do crown molding, put up beadboard, painting, and finishing everything. And he did a pretty awesome job! There's still a few finishing touches I want to add, but for the most part it is done.

The curtains with a double window sill and crown molding:

My favorite piece, the chandelier. The pic. doesn't do it justice:

The furniture was from my room when I was little, along with pretty much all of her decor.

My sister made the awesome blanket on her crib. She's pretty amazing!! The little heart shelf was from a garage sale that I painted and the pottery barn bedding I got a sweet deal from ebay.

My grandpa made me the big heart shelf when I was little. We ordered the chair and I love it! It is where I spend a large part of my night :)
And the best part of all? The little girl whose room it is:

Quick Trips

These last two weekends have been awesome with a little bit of crazy. Over labor day baby Grant (Megan's baby) was blessed. The Bairds came down from WA, and other places, and we had lots of parties :).

The three cousins at Smitty's pancake house:

The next weekend we rented a van with the Bosters, loaded it up, and drove to WA for Scott's little brother Brad's farewell.

The boys. Drinking their caffine, we got home from WA at 3:30am. That is way too late!:

Saying goodbye to Brad. He will be awesome in Jamaica!
