5 years!

We did it! Not that we ever thought we wouldn't...but we made it to 5 wonderful years! It's amazing how much your love can grow every day and in different ways.

For our anniversary we went down to Utah. We were able to go to a nice dinner and watch the Summerfest fireworks while my parents watched Annie. We also got to go to the parade, canyon, and play with cousins! Here's the best cousin shot we could get.

And we went to see this guy. He just got back from Hawaii and let me do his hair. I always wanted a little sister :)

Cotton candy for Annie!

Annie and Kalia enjoying the parade. But mostly the cotton candy.

And we sold our trusty little civic. It was a sad day. I didn't know you could be attached to a car. My parents gave us the car when we were engaged. We went through a lot in it. Our first car, drove clear across the country, brought home Annie in it... so many memories. It was a blessing we sold it so fast and now have our new bigger car to enjoy (rav4) so hopefully it likes its new family!

10 Months!

I can't believe Annie is 10 months!! Ok, I say that every time, but it really does go by too fast. She had no desire to smile or hold still for pictures. She's still not crawling, but fully mobile. She scoots on her bottom in a sitting up position (see facebook for video) or steamrolls. She loves her toys and to tip anything over. She is quite the adventure and Scott and I can't get over how much we love it.

Grant and Annie after a Sunday stroll.

Our billy goat.

Annie and Papa!

I forget Annie can move sometimes. I found her in the shoe closet the other day (yes, the bottom of our pantry is our shoe closet).

First motorcyle ride. But really it was a razor. Scott's already trying to train her.

Visitors!

I can't promise you Idaho Falls is the most exciting place to visit... but I can promise you Scott and I would love it! My mom and Kiera with her three little ones came to visit us and had a random week of nice weather (seriously the only nice weather we had all year..).

Here are the two girls in their matching dresses and matching fake smiles.

We think Annie likes swinging.

Kyla has turned into quite the little swing daredevil. I remembered what an underdog was and how much fun swings are!

We had a wonderful day at the Tautphaus Park Zoo. Bryce had a runin with the monkeys that scared him to death.

Annie is like her momma...loves those oreos! (and they are dairy free :) )

Annie would prefer to be read to all day. Or watch kidsongs.

Feeding the geese by the river. What a good grandma.

The easiest baby in the world. Miss Clairey berry pudding and pie. Adorable.

Baths with Bryce AND Kyla? Awesome day.

Phoenix, I miss you.

For our birthdays Scott and I were able to go to Phoenix and visit his sister Lisa and her family. It was 90 degree weather and perfect. I wouldn't have minded never coming home.

We can't thank the Maxfields enough for showing us around! It was so fun to see Ava and Annie together, they loved to talk, laugh, and scream together.

We were introduced to our new favorite place to eat. Oreganos. It was Amazing!

We were so excited to take Annie swimming for the first time. She loves her baths so you would think she would love the pool right? Wrong. She HATED it.

We finally set her up in the shade on a wet towel and she pleasantly played until she fell fast asleep and had a looonnngg nap.

The daddies and their babies.

The boys got us pedicures for Mother's Day!!

Maybe I love Phoenix so much because I was born there. I lived there for 2 weeks and had never been back. This is the house my parents brought me home to. If Scott wanted to move their tomorrow I totally would. Good people, good food, good times.

9 Months!

My little sweetie turned 9 months! We were supposed to leave at 11 to fly to Phoenix, but our flight was delayed until 4. So we hung out in the airport and Annie took her long nap that I had timed perfectly to happen on the flight.

Annie's first airplane ride! She was wide awake for all of it (a whole 2 hours) and seemed to have fun. The space was a little tight for the squirmer, but it worked.

Pink toenails. She is my daughter afterall.

Babies don't keep

(This has always been one of my favorite poems.. and how my life is going right now)

Mother, oh Mother, come shake out your cloth
empty the dustpan, poison the moth,
hang out the washing and butter the bread,
sew on a button and make up a bed.
Where is the mother whose house is so shocking?
She's up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.

Oh, I've grown shiftless as Little Boy Blue
(lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).
Dishes are waiting and bills are past due
(pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo).
The shopping's not done and there's nothing for stew
and out in the yard there's a hullabaloo
but I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo.
Look! Aren't her eyes the most wonderful hue?
(lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).

The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,
for children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.

28 years for Scott!

If you ask him he will probably tell you he is 29 (becasuse "I'm in my 29th year, it makes more sense"). We had a fun party with dinner and family and friends! He requested it this way. That night we packed for Phoenix and had an awesome weekend (next post).

He decided to blow out his 8 candles this year with his arm. It actually worked.

To my favorite 28 year old: Love you!

The Rest of Easter

Easter morning the Easter bunny came and Annie loved her basket (but more like I loved making it for her)! Then we headed over to my sister's house for the blessing, delicious brunch, and Easter egg hunt. We finished the day off with naps and a delicious dinner at my moms and then drove home.

Matching Dresses!

The three girls. Probably impossible to get a good shot of all of them at once.

My neighbor knitted her little sweater!

And thanks Great Grandma for the beautiful dress!

Claire's family!

We had to help Annie get the eggs. Once she found one she lost all interest in the rest.

Dyeing eggs. She didn't actually make one, but she did suck on one and her lips turned blue.

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter!
